Following Hypervolt's highly successful launch in the Republic of Ireland in the Spring of 2024, we are delighted to announce that our market leading range of EV chargers and 365 days-a-year customer support will be available in Australia from September 1st 2024.
As part of our overarching mission to democratise EV ownership globally, Australia has remained a key target market since our launch in 2021. With almost 3 million homes in Australia being fitted with solar panels as of December 2023, according to the Clean Energy Council, the availability of clean and ultra-low carbon electricity means that Hypervolt is not only a great product fit thanks to our seamless solar integration, but that Australians making the switch to EV are safe in the knowledge that their carbon reduction is magnified.
Pureprofile research from 2024 found that a staggering 30% of Australians are EV intenders, with 94% of EV owners stating that they 'did not regret their decision, and would buy an EV for their next car'. Whilst there is a gap to close between EV buyers and prospective owners, it highlights the profound impact environmental consciousness has had on a nation heavily impacted by climate change, most notably with nationwide bushfires in both 2020 and 2021, burning some 46.5 million acres.
Hypervolt will thus be expanding in this key market in the Autumn, with Trustpilot's highest rated EV charger, Home 3 Pro, available to customers through the same seamless online checkout and installer matching experience that UK customers benefit from. In addition to this, we will be launching in partnership with Australia's leading PV installation firm enabling green minded consumers to access a one-stop-shop for domestic renewables. Hypervolt's first foray into Australia came in mid-2021 when, aware of the swelling publicity, glowing customer testimonials, and the solar compatibility of the charger, installers across Australia began importing and installing Hypervolt units, something the team at HQ in London has been supporting ever since. This expansion of Hypervolt's footprint however will rapidly scale the deployment base to many tens of thousands of chargers over the coming years.
