Hypervolt Goes Live With Full OVO Charge Anytime Launch

Following a successful public beta-trial in which thousands of customers took advantage of Britain's cheapest any-time EV charging tariff, Team Hypervolt are delighted to announce the unrestricted public release of full OVO Charge Anytime support on Hypervolt Home 3 Pro and Home 3.0 devices, Britain's highest rated family of home EV chargers.

 

Thanks to this integration, customers can connect their Hypervolt to their OVO account and benefit from a charging cost of just 7p/kWh, around 70% lower than the UK standard tariff. OVO's app determines when the best time to charge is, usually when the grid is greenest and demand is lower, and sends a command for the EV to start charging then. This means that you can charge more cheaply, and more greenly, without any intervention, simply letting Hypervolt and OVO do the work for you. 

 

For the average driver, this means unlocking over £1,000 of savings each year! In an August case study, our team determined that by covering the average UK annual mileage of 7,400 miles, a whole year's charging would set a driver back just £99.81, equivalent to £3.50 per charge. To take advantage of the Charge Anytime savings, customers will need to switch their domestic tariff to OVO, and will need a Hypervolt Home 3.0 or newer, however with such impactful savings, it's well worth it for anyone considering a greener way of living. Whilst Charge Anytime support currently extends to Home 3 Pro and Home 3.0 devices, integration with Home 2.0 chargers is coming!
