Hypervolt is excited to announce the phased rollout of our long-anticipated Hypervolt Home 2 integration with Octopus Intelligent Go and OVO Charge Anytime tariffs! This feature has been a significant development effort from our R&D labs, bringing the power of smart energy savings to our V2 customers through a significant over-the-air update.
Given the complexity of this rollout, we are introducing the feature in three carefully structured phases, which are very similar to what we have done in the past for major feature releases. This ensures stability, rapid bug resolution, and the best possible user experience.
We appreciate our customers' patience and enthusiasm and want to acknowledge the invaluable collaboration of our energy partners, Octopus Energy and OVO Energy, in making this integration a reality. As the feature requires coordination and releases between Hypervolt and our utility partners, we wanted to be transparent about the complexity involved and potential bugs that can impact the timeline for general availability.
The first stage of the rollout will be strictly limited to a small group of 5 to 10 V2 customers who pre-register for early access. These customers will be carefully selected, prioritising those with a strong technical background who have previously assisted with testing.
Duration: ~2 weeks (subject to extension if needed for issue resolution)
Goal: Identify any early technical challenges before a broader release
Access: Invitation-only via pre-registration form. Fewer users will be selected.
Following a successful Alpha phase, we will expand access by onboarding a few hundred new users per week. This incremental approach ensures we can promptly address issues while continuously improving the experience.
Duration: ~2 weeks (subject to extension if needed)
Goal: Scale the rollout while monitoring user feedback and system stability
Access: Selected users progressively enabled
Once the Beta phase confirms stability, the integration will be rolled out to all V2 customers. Users will seamlessly benefit from the new tariff integrations at this stage without any manual intervention.
Goal: Ensure all Hypervolt Home 2 users can enjoy smart energy savings
Access: Automatically enabled for all V2 devices
Users will still be required to enable their tariffs via the Octopus or OVO apps.

Most users need not take action. Hypervolt will deploy the update over the air throughout the rollout phases. Please complete the above form to participate in the Alpha or Beta phases.

Q: How do I activate Octopus Intelligent Go or OVO Charge Anytime?
Activation follows the same process as our Hypervolt Home 3.0 and Home 3 Pro devices and is managed through the Octopus or OVO app.
