Hypervolt Launches in Ireland

Hypervolt are delighted to announce our partnership with Midsummer.ie as our first distributors in the Republic of Ireland. Since launching in 2021, Irish EV drivers have been purchasing our market leading range of chargers through the UK, however our new alignment streamlines this process for both customers and installers alike. With Irish EV registrations making up 12.69% of all new cars on the road in March 2024, the biggest question for the motor trade is how to grow that figure, with most eyes pointing to infrastructure. Domestic charging offers drivers the opportunity to charge when it's most convenient, the natural downtime of vehicles overnight and at weekends, and most affordably, as charging at home can be as little as 10% of the cost of public charging. This is where Hypervolt and our fantastic new partner comes in.

Based in Walkinstown, Dublin, Midsummer's stated aim is to aim is to educate and enable as many people as possible to harness, store and intelligently use renewable energy, including Solar PV, battery systems, EV chargers, and off-grid backup. Sales and Marketing Manager at the firm, Katie Popplestone, commented on the partnership saying ‘at Midsummer Ireland are very pleased to bring Hypervolt EV Chargers to our range! We pride ourselves in stocking great quality products that are affordable, safe, and easy to install. But here at Midsummer, that just isn’t good enough for us. We need our suppliers to offer great technical and sales support! Which is why we’ve partnered with Hypervolt, a great product, at a great price with fantastic support. We’re very excited to welcome them to our Solar & EV Show in early May!

Since launching in its domestic market in 2021, Hypervolt is rapidly approaching the deployment of 100,000 devices, with each one of those representing the sustainable transition of a individual, family, or organisation, and with 91% of first-time EV owners choosing a BEV for their next car or van, the cumulative environmental impact of this work is highly significant.

Head of Partnership at Hypervolt, David Woodford, enthuses ‘Ireland always felt like a natural next step for Hypervolt given our position and footprint in the UK, so we are extremely excited to be launching with such a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team of renewable experts to aid in our overarching mission of hastening net-zero across multiple geographies. As a country Ireland is relatively small, and has an extremely high GDP per capita, so it's ripe for EV, and our job is to accelerate that transition.'
